Shredders for grape stalks MTR by Mori Luigi

Dimensional drawing

  • Reduces the volume of grape ridges by 85%;
  • Standard frame, height adjustable;
  • Capacity up to 20 t/h;
  • 400 V motors, 3 phases.

Made of stainless steel; inside there is a rotating motor with movable knives and 23 fixed blades, which are located at a distance of 21 mm from each other. The particle sizes eventually amount to about 5 mm.

Operation process:

This system is installed next to the comb separator-crusher, directly connecting its receiving hopper with the point of discharge of the combs from the comb separator. The combs, entering the receiving hopper of the shredder, then enter the chamber with a special shaft and “knives” mounted on it, due to the very fast rotation of the shaft with “knives”, the comb is crushed into very small elements, which the system then throws directionally into a plastic container to collect the crushed comb.

After crushing the stems, they are placed in special containers for disposal. A shredding machine is necessary because it is capable of converting these products (grape ridges), which according to current legislation are not considered by-products of winemaking, into a material that can be disposed of or used in other ways (as fertilizer for fields with vineyards). The remnants of grape stems can also be used for energy production, as they do not harm the environment and health.
